Mission Statement
"The Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation, TYCF, is exclusively focused upon pursuing projects which provide educational and charitable opportunities originating in the Lake Tahoe area that enhance expertise or understanding of maritime skills."
Vision and Goals
Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation Vision:
- Continue to Grow the Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance
- Grow our endowment fund for perpetual donations
- To be a stewart to the Lake Tahoe Maritime Community
- Support Lake Tahoe area projects and organizations in the Maritime Community
- Protect and display the history of Wooden boats on Lake Tahoe
Goals for 2010:
- Continue "Greening" Event Operations
Use of biodegradable products
Reducing waste in operations
- Growing our recycling program started in 2007
- Proactively seek out historical boats for entry
- Continue our boat research program for Judges
- Better understand and appreciate Volunteer efforts
- Better Communicate charitable donations to public
- Create long lasting relationships with grant recipients
